Approved by Bishop’s Conference of Catholic in China, On July 10, 2015, the installation ceremony of Bishop Wu Qinjing held at the Immaculate Heart of Our Lady Cathedral in the Diocese of Zhouzhi which is located in Zhouzhi of Xi’an City.
The installation was presided by Bishop Yang Xiaoting, a vice president of BCCCC, the bishop of Yunlin(Yan’an) Diocese, and co-presided by Bishop Dang Mingyan of Xi’an Diocese. Then, the mass was celebrated by Bishop Wu Qinjing, including all the priests, nuns, seminarians of Zhouzhi, and many Catholics attended the ceremony.
The installation of Bishop Wu Qinjing was following the regulations of liturgy made by BCCCC. Fr. Li Hui was appointed by BCCCC to read the letter of permit by BCCCC in the ceremony. During the ceremony, Bishop Wu Qinjing made his vow and expressed his willingness of leading his diocesan priests, seminarians, religious and all the Catholics to observe National Constitution, maintain the unity of the country and stability of the society, and contribute his strength to establish a harmonious and well-off socialist society.
The officials from the United Front Work Department of CCCPC, State Administration for Religious Affairs of P.R.C., and CCPA&BCCCC were present and expressed their good wishes to Bishop Wu during the ceremony. Also, some officials from the provincial level and related departments of the cities of Xi 'an, Baoji, Xianyang, Yangling were invited to the ceremony.
